We are seeking to recruit an attentive Accountancy and Tax Administrator to provide administrative support to Equatas Accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Record, track and chase new enquiries
  • Prepare all engagement packs
  • Answering client queries on engagement packs
  • Engagement pack tracking, chasers, and reviewing returned engagements
  • Completing Money Laundering Form on receipt of engagement pack
  • Updating client lists

Invoicing:

  • Raising and sending out invoices
  • Updating invoice list
  • Alerting team to clients on debtors list who we are still actively working for

Client work/contact:

  • Monitoring general mailbox and distributing emails to team members
  • Answering main number and redirecting to team members/taking messages
  • Sending out tax returns & accounts for client review and approval
  • Tax return progress tracking
  • HMRC chaser calls/letters & telephone notes
  • Training provided to assist on processing client payroll

General office administration:

  • Preparing and sending out posts
  • Monitoring incoming post (to Manchester office)
  • Updating postal tracking
  • General folder admin (if copied, save team emails in client’s folder)
  • Stationery orders for Manchester office

 

Person Specification

Experience:

  • A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook products
  • Preferable a basic understanding of Accounting packages
  • Previous administrative experience

  • Great organisational and prioritisation skills as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills
