We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who will be instrumental in ensuring the business meets its financial targets by working collaboratively with a team of Financial Consultants and key stakeholders. Purpose of the role: 

The purpose of the Sales Manager is to ensure the business meets its financial targets, through effective planning and working closely with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Analyse projected new business income to insure sales targets are achieved consistently
  • Provide leadership support to the Commercial Team
  • Carry out performance reviews
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in particular the Business Development team & Financial Consultants, to ensure new and existing enquiries are converted to business
  • Ability to provide guidance, training and mentorship
  • Keep abreast of accounts where there may be potential issues and that may impact monthly targets
  • Produce MI reports for the Senior Executive Team
  • Continually develop and embed better ways of working by encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team
  • Provide training and coaching for the relevant teams

Person Specification 

Experience:

  • Successful experience as Sales Manager leading a high-performance team
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry (desirable)
  • Experience in project management

  • Relationship management and interpersonal skills to include, experience in achieving credibility and building strong relationships at all levels
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to present and analyse clear sales data

Education and training 

  • Degree in Business Management or equivalent qualifications.
